Information on the processing of personal data within the scope of our photographs of the public space

We, STF Swiss AG, inform you in accordance with the relevant legal provisions (Swiss Data Protection Act DSG as well as Swiss Copyright Act URG) about the processing of your personal data (hereinafter referred to as “data”).


Purpose of the processing:

STF Swiss AG takes photos of the public space in order to optimally depict the conditions of the surroundings. There is no obligation to obtain special consent if the data subject only blends into the surroundings and is not specifically in focus or if he or she was photographed as part of a crowd.


Description of the categories of personal data

The images capture data in the form of:

  • Façades and property views
  • Vehicle registration plates
  • Faces of passers-by,

that are captured on the images. We use software to anonymise the vehicle registration plates and the faces of passers-by before processing the data.


Description of the categories of data subjects

  • Residents, bystanders and vehicles on the public road sections to be driven on


Categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed

The photos we capture and subsequently anonymise are not publicly stored in a database. Access is restricted exclusively to the employees of our group of companies. If necessary, the anonymised image material can be made available to our commissioned service providers.


Duration of the processing

We will only process your data for as long as is necessary for the performance of our contract or applicable statutory requirements.


Provision of the data

The data is provided by the employees of our group of companies who have been specially trained and sensitised for these cases.


Your rights as a data subject

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

  • Information about the processing of your data
  • Withdrawal of your given consent for data processing
  • Rectification and erasure if there is no longer a legal basis for processing
  • Data transmission of your data
  • Complaint to the competent data protection authority (FDPIC)
